How to Write a Cover Letter for Jobs in Dubai: What Nobody in HR Will Tell You

How to Write a Cover Letter for Jobs in Dubai

Do Cover Letters Matter?

Most recruiters spend less than ten seconds on them. But certain employers still expect them. Rule: if application asks for one, write one. If not, include a brief one anyway.

The Structure

Three paragraphs. No more.
One: why you are writing and which role. One sentence about most relevant achievement.
Two: two to three specific examples with numbers connecting experience to requirements.
Three: availability, visa status, clear closing statement.

UAE-Specific Elements

Mention visa status. Reference UAE experience. If you speak Arabic, mention it. Keep tone professional and direct.

Common Mistakes

Generic letters. Too long (keep under 250 words). Repeating the CV. No call to action.

The Template

Dear [Hiring Manager],
I am applying for [Role] at [Company]. With [X years] in [field] across the Gulf, I bring [key differentiator].
At [Company], I [achievement with number]. Previously, I [second achievement]. These align with [job requirement].
I hold a valid UAE visa and am available within [timeframe].
Regards, [Name]
Adapt to every application. Make it specific or do not send it.
