Interview Preparation Checklist
Before the Interview
- Research the company thoroughly.
- Review the job description carefully.
- Prepare answers for common interview questions.
- Practise behavioural interview scenarios (STAR method).
- Plan your journey or test virtual interview software.
- Choose a professional outfit.
- Prepare questions to ask the interviewer.
- Print copies of your resume and portfolio (if needed).
Day of the Interview
- Arrive early (at least 15 minutes).
- Bring necessary documents (resume, ID, references).
- Switch your mobile phone to silent mode.
- Engage confidently with appropriate body language.
- Actively listen and respond clearly to questions.
- Ask thoughtful questions when prompted.
After the Interview
- Send a thank-you email within 24 hours.
- Reflect on your interview performance (what went well, areas for improvement).
- Follow up politely if you haven’t heard back after the timeline provided by the interviewer.
